Alyssa Yard nearly stole the show with her aerobic dance number "Whipped Into Shape" and Brooke's take-no-prisoners attitude. A large cast jumps in to cheerlead the show, from the opening "Omigod You Guys" and "Daughter of Delta Nu" to the jump-roping "Whipped Into Shape," the trial scenes and the finale.
"With its female empowerment message and a cast of fun characters, it's no wonder "Legally Blonde" fans were enthusiastic about the Oregon Cabaret's new production, directed by Lauren Blair."
Unlike the movie, which starred Reese Witherspoon, the Cabaret play is fast-paced, filled with music and incredibly razzle-dazzle dancing featuring gymnastic moves that could impress Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.
Miller will be recognized by Oregon Cabaret regulars from "Clue," "Kinky Boots," "The Play That Goes Wrong," among others. He's perfectly believable as the nice guy and blew away the audience in songs like "Chip on My Shoulder" and the title song.
Morgan Hecker, in her Cabaret debut as Elle, glows with vitality and verve.
