More of what you love in 2017!

The Oregon Cabaret Theatre has provided first-class entertainment and dining in the Rogue Valley for the last thirty years, with unforgettable productions featuring professional performers from all over the country. Located one block from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in a beautifully remodeled historic church, the Cabaret’s venue has the old school charm of the jazz era.

Whether it’s the classic door-slamming comedy of Noises Off, the musical nostalgia of All Night Strut and The Drowsy Chaperone, the live action suspense of Baskerville, or the romance of Broadway classic She Loves Me, we have something just for you in Season 32. Don’t miss a single show, as we’ve packed as much jazz era music, belly laughs, and old school charm as we could comfortably fit into a Cabaret season. Get your favorite table for all of these shows by signing up for a season subscription today!

   Our 2017 Brochure

Noises Off

February 9th - April 9th, 2017

A classic door-slamming backstage comedy by Michael Frayn, Noises Off takes us behind the scenes of the mounting of a new farce, Nothing On. It’s a story told in three acts with a rotating set, providing us looks both onstage and off as the ill-fated new farce careens from catastrophic dress rehearsals to historically hilarious failures during its run.

The All Night Strut

April 20th - June 25th, 2017

A two-act musical celebration of the 1930's and 40's filled with jazz, blues, bebop, and American songbook standards. Weaving together the work of legendary songwriters such as Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway, and the Gershwins, the story moves through time and place to highlight a slick slice of yesteryear and capture a beloved American era.

The Drowsy Chaperone

July 6th - September 3rd, 2017

This hilarious musical received 5 Tony Awards when it premiered in 2006, including Best Book and Best Original Score.  A deliciously meta look at the clichés and contrivances of early musicals, join us as a drily witty theatre-super-fan leads us on a literal tour of his favorite (fictitious) musical come to life, 1928’s The Drowsy Chaperone, featuring lovers, bumblers, theatre producers, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, and, of course, a tipsy chaperone.

Baskerville

September 14th - November 5th, 2017

From the award-winning mastermind of mayhem, Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor), comes a fast-paced comedy about everyone’s favorite detective solving his most notorious case. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson must crack the mystery of The Hound of the Baskervilles before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Watch as our intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than 40 characters.

She Loves Me

November 16th - December 31st, 2017

With the music of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler On The Roof) and a clever book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), She Loves Me is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence. In the story, two co-workers who loathe each other carry on a romance as pen pals, unaware of the other’s real identity until they finally decide to meet in person.
